How to Ask for Feedback and Actually Get It
"Any feedback for me?" gets you "you're doing great." Here is how to ask a question people can answer honestly.

Most feedback requests fail before they are answered. Asked broadly, at the wrong moment, they put the other person on the spot — so they reach for something reassuring and vague.
Make the question small and specific
- Anchor it to one thing: "In yesterday's review, was the summary clear enough to act on?"
- Ask soon after the event, while the detail is still fresh for both of you.
- Give them an easy exit: "What is one thing you would change?"
- Close the loop later, so they can see the change and feel it was worth saying.
The goal is not more feedback. It is feedback precise enough that you know exactly what to do differently on Monday.
